About Us
Located in the leafy suburb of Seaforth in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Peek-A-Boo Cottage has been established since 2008. The centre has been family owned and operated since its inception and has been designed to cater for the 0 to 2-year age group in a boutique home away from home environment. The emphasis has always been to provide a higher quality of nurturing childcare that caters to the individual’s early education requirements.
Each child is as unique as their families are in our community and choosing the best opportunities for your child’s care can seem shrouded in fog; at Peek-A-Boo Cottage we want to roll back the mist and let the sunshine into this process. We believe the best way to decide if Peek-A-Boo Cottage is the right place for your child, is to come and spend some time with us on a one to one basis and experience the benefits personally.

Peek-A-Boo Cottage is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm with the exception of public holidays and 2weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.
There is an off-street parking bay providing a safe drop-off and pick-up area for families; should you wish to spend longer there is plenty of more permanent parking in Magarra Place.
We have a dedicated disabled, wheelchair and pram access.
Management
Rita Totino is the founder and owner of Peek-A-Boo Cottage and has been passionate about early childhood education since graduating in 1988. Over the past 30 years Rita has gained a vast knowledge and invaluable experience in all aspects of early childhood education; Rita’s qualifications are both extensive and impeccable including a Bachelor of Teaching specializing in early childhood education, Diploma of Children’s Services and a Certificate in Child Care.
With this strong background Rita has established 3 centres on the Northern Beaches over her time and is able to ensure that Peek-A-Boo Cottage offers the highest standards and quality of care while remaining affordable for families. Rita believes in the philosophy of providing a home away from home environment, where children can feel safe and secure; while also having a positive and happy sense of belonging.
Educators
At Peek-A-Boo Cottage we are fortunate enough to have a range of highly qualified and experienced educators who are passionate about the education and care of the very young. Educators are encouraged to regularly attend the latest courses to ensure their ongoing development and knowledge in early childhood development. Educators are also encouraged to set and work through personal goals over the year to establish their individual training needs, allowing us to keep a broad spectrum of the latest standards of education available to your children.
All our educators hold a current First Aid Certificate with specialist training in asthma and anaphylaxis care. In addition to this all educators have attended child protection training and have completed a Working with Children check.
Kinderloop
Peek-A-Boo Cottage uses the on-line parent information service, Kinderloop.com. Kinderloop provides a password-secure way for educators to share updates, photos, information and learning outcomes with parents on a regular basis. The information remains the property of Peek-A-Boo Cottage and is only accessible by invited family members and our staff. Kinderloop provides an opportunity for two-way communication between families and staff about events and activities as well as the progress of their children.
